The Everett Branch of New American Funding is proud to be a Hole Sponsor at this year's golf tournament to raise money for the Homeless Endowment Fund. If you would like to register as a golfer, please follow this link: https://driveouthomelessness.golfgenius.com/register 'Drive Out Homelessness’ is the 1st Annual golf tournament to raise money for the Homeless Endowment Fund. This fund was first developed in 1991 by Realtors® in Snohomish County to be used for security deposits by qualifying families and individuals ready to move from a shelter into their own permanent housing. The fund is accessed with an application through Volunteers of America, Snohomish County and is used by clients from any of the non-profit shelters in Snohomish County. Realtors® see first hand how expensive housing has become to secure. We realize how important it is for the individual that has come from homelessness to be in a position of managing their own home. We encourage independence by loaning interest free up to $1000 for the security deposit which when combined with first and last month's rent can be an overwhelming amount for a newly employed individual. Each loan is given with the expectation that it will be repaid in manageable monthly payments to Opus Bank, the funds administrator.Over the past twenty-five years the “Homeless Endowment Fund” has given interest free loans to over 1000 families and individual to be used to assist in paying damage deposits for securing permanent housing. Since the fund was created, Realtors® have provided over $500,000 in assistance for individuals in Snohomish County.
